Our batik collection is produced in a unique cottage industry by specialist craftsmen who pass their skills from generation to generation. Due to the distinctive colours and designs, there may be some loose dye on the surface of the fabric and some irregularities will occur as an inevitable feature of the hand printing process.
The fabric should be hand washed in cold water. The dyes used include vegetable dyes and some fading will occur after washing.Please do not tumble dry, use bleachy in bright sunlight, use a cool iron on the reverse side for best results.
